Networked blogs

I signed up to networked blovs. Not sure if it has worked.  If it haz, I'd appreciate people letting me know :-)

Busy, busy, busy

Well, it's been manic lately. Completed all my Christmas cards by the end of October, had a little craft break, & then started a mini album for Chloe's 21st. Chloe is the owner of Chloe's Creative Cards & an absolute sweetie. We go to crops & workshops at her shop, & I wanted to do something special for her 21st. Well, I have made the album from scratch, including the binding of it! Well, it did turn out to be more of a job than I thought, including a trip down to Harrogate for more Graphic 45 papers! But, I am pleased with the end result & will post all the photo's at the weekend.

Pizza time! Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Tags

I decided to enter Darcy's tag challenge today. Of course being me, I didn't read the part where she says use ONE stamp! Oh well, they were done then anyway so I may as well post them. Here goes...

Photo's

Well the photo uploads didn't work the other day, so I am attempting to do it again from the laptop.
Here goes:

The Halloween projects were made using a combination of Graphic 45 papers, Cricut Cartridge A Frightful Affair, & Stash I had at home.
The Christmas cards were made at workshops at Chloe's Creative Cards & finished off with my own stash. The cat photo is of my much loved 16 year old kitty, Georgie x

Saturday 23 March 2013

This card is for my Husbands Wedding Anniversary. We have been married 34 years on March 24th.

I made this card using the following products, all items used apart from a few, are available from www.craftsite.co.uk:

  • Spellbinders Nestabilities Grand Labels 11
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 11
  • Cream Linen Card
  • Brown Pearl Card
  • Gold Mirror Card
  • Brown Textured Core'dinations cardstock
  • Walnut Stain Distress Ink
  • Embossing powder
  • Cog Embellishments
  • Peel Offs
  • Brown Satin Ribbon
I started by stamping  the Mini car image with Walnut Stain distress ink, & then embossing it. I then cut out the card blank with one of the Grand Labels 11 Nestabilities
I then cut out the mats using various dies from the Labels 11 sets.I created folds in the ribbon to add texture & enhance the card, & assembled the mats using glue & foam tape.
A peel off & the cogs were added last.

I believe it to be a simple, but, stylish card & perfect for my car loving hubby!

Recent Work

Well, I still haven't got much scrapbooking done, but, I have been rather busy making cards. March & April are probably my busiest month for family birthdays & anniversaries. So that has filled up my time, not helped by the EXTREME pain caused by my arthritis! :-(
Here are a few of the cards:

Friday 1 March 2013

Right! I am definitely getting myself in the mood for scrapbooking. I have made the Easter & Men's cards for the sale, I'm up to May with the birthday cards, & I have been playing with my purchases from Rainton Meadows/ Ross Papercraft show last Sunday. There is the possibility of TWO crops coming up, that should get the mojo flowing..........

Sunday 17 February 2013

Went to a crop yesterday. The first in almost 2 years!!!! Let's hope it sparks the scrapping mojo! LOL

Anniversary Card

Here is a card I made for my Brother in Law's Wedding anniversary. The list of items used is as follows,

  • Tim Holtz Core'dinations Card in Dusty Concord
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Labels 8
  • Spellbinders Nestabilites Labels 8
  • Silver Mirror Card
  • Memento ink in Tuxedo Black
  • Pro Markers
  • Sakura Stardust Pens
  • Peel off
  • Score Board
  • Stamp from stash
  • Die Cutting Machine
  • Dotty Organza Ribbon
  • Mounting Foam
  • PVA Glue
  • Glue Dot

  • I started by cutting down the tim Holtz Distress Core'dinations to an A4 size card blank. I then scored a number of lines at the front of the card to give it some texture, as well as decorative purposes.
  • I stamped the image onto smooth white card, & coloured it in
  • I cut out the stamped image with the Nestabilities Labels 8
  • I then cut out a piece of mirror card with my Nestabilites Decorative labels 8
  • Then, I attached the dotty ribbon to the front of the card, & with Mounting foam & PVA glue, attached this over the ribbon
  • I then made a little 'faux bow' & attached it to the side with a glue dot & an anniversary verse insert

Sunday 27 January 2013

Well, mojo still on holiday! Downside of the ruddy pain, is I can't sit & create. When I do get chance to craft, I have to do the necessary birthday cards etc. Oh well, I have completed all birthdays up until March, so, this week I am DEFINITELY aiming to do some scrapping!

Thursday 10 January 2013

Trying to get back into my crafting properly, but can only sit fir a couple of hours! Will have to craftva bit every day! My head is so full of ideas, but, the body is holding me back!
